Acupuncture

Acupuncture is excellent for many reasons, as well as it can be used for the prevention of illness. It can calm the mind and soothe the soul, or it can sound the alarm and get things going.
Traditional Chinese medicine is a powerful health science that provides clinically proven benefits for rehabilitation, prevention, mental, emotional and physiological well-being. At Mountain Waters our acupuncture treatments are unique because we never leave the guest. After the needles are placed the guest receives a soothing foot massage, head and neck releases as well as pressure point work. For best results it is recommended to combine acupuncture with any of our massages.
(Receipts for insurance and direct billing are available with this treatment. These services are covered by most extended health plans.)

Fire Cupping
This Traditional Chinese Medicine technique employs rounded glass cups that are applied to your bare skin. As the cup is warmed, the oxygen inside releases, creating a gentle suction that stimulates the flow of blood and qi or vital energy beneath the cup. Cupping can help loosen tense muscles and relax your body, while treating a variety of conditions including: high blood pressure, back and neck pain, anxiety, fatigue, migraines and arthritis.

Tuning Forks
Tuning Forks are lightweight sound healing tools which are used in acupressure techniques. When activated, the vibration of the tuning fork is easily directed on the body, and in the energetic field around the body. Thus, tuning forks are able to engage the Qi in the meridian system. The sound waves created by the tuning forks work like kinetic energy to move disharmony and tension from the physical body, and to help restore a sense of emotional balance and well-being. Treatment includes acupressure through TuningForks on both front and back of body. For needle-sensitive patients, the non-invasive nature of a tuning fork is an effective alternative for a completely needle-free treatment. Acupressure through Tuning Forks can also be combined with Acupuncture including only a few thin needles with very gentle insertions.
